Sustainability at our Core

At IEEE SENSORS 2023, the conference is taking responsibility and actively making environmental and socially responsible decisions as we work with The Austrian Ecolabel to be awarded the Green Meeting Certification. Green meetings put the emphasis on waste prevention, eco-friendly travel options and regional sourcing of ingredients for catering.

Criteria

  • Informing all exhibitors of environmental requirements and signing
    agreements regarding avoidance of disposable cutlery and crockery, and
    use of recyclable materials
  • Advertising environmentally friendly travel options to and from the event
  • Availability of accommodation with environmental certification
  • Conscious effort to save resources such as paper, reduce giveaways, and
    provide comprehensive information on waste avoidance measures
  • Comprehensive internal and external information on green meeting
    measures and sustainability standards, participants able to give feedback
